The thing nobody warns you about Meowdoku is the spatial awareness part. You can't just count rows and colors. You have to picture every diagonal neighbor as a cat with claws out. Once I began respecting that, the boards started opening up. I'm not usually a puzzle person, but this one rewired my brain.
A coworker said I'd like marble sort because I play those sorting puzzles. She was right. The moving belt makes it different from just matching colors, and clearing a full box is so rewarding. I'm already on the later levels.
The colony flow game surprised me because I usually hate mobile games that require planning. But the five waiting slots create this nice tension that makes each decision matter. I've already replayed half the levels trying to find the most efficient path order.
The beauty of Game Is Hard is that it doesn’t hold your hand. The instructions are minimal, so you have to figure out the rule of each level by trial and error. That detective feeling is addictive. I keep playing because each solved level makes me feel a tiny bit smarter.
I literally stumbled into Pixel Flow while looking for a time killer during lunch. Now I’m the person who maps out the whole board before sending a single pig. The layers and blockers make it feel like a tiny logic puzzle that actually rewards thinking, which is ironic because I thought it was just a color match game.
